UMW Toyota Transfers its PJ and Cheras Outlets to Dealers
In October 2017 and November 2018, UMW Toyota Motor announced that the majority of its outlets would be transferred to its dealers to increase its operational efficiency.
Today, the company confirmed that its outlets in Section 19 PJ and Cheras have been transferred to Laser Motor PJ Sdn Bhd and Fokus Sentral Sdn Bhd, respectively. This move allows UMW Toyota to focus on other aspects of its operation such as product development, marketing and dealer network support.

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) today announced that 2 of its own outlets in Klang Valley have been transferred to Dealers to enhance operational excellence with effect from July 1, 2020. This follows the company’s announcement earlier in October 2017 and November 2018 that it would be transferring the majority of its branch retail operations to its dealers and other relevant parties.
The Dealers from Klang Valley, Laser Motor PJ Sdn Bhd will take over the Section 19 PJ outlet and Fokus Sentral Sdn Bhd will take over the Cheras outlet accordingly. This allows UMWT to increase intensity on high value added upstream activities such as product development, marketing and dealer network support, while Dealers continue to dedicate themselves towards delivering customer satisfaction.
