The Vehicle of the Year (VOTY) Awards is sponsored by Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad and is judged by Daniel Sherman Fernandez and Subhash Nair from Drive Safe and Fast (dsf.my) and Ross Hadi and Amirul Mukminin from GohedGostan.com.
This years VOTY Awards, held at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur, was originally set to take place on 21 March before it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we have instead decided to stream it LIVE on facebook and youtube. This would make the DSF.my VOTY the first automotive awards event to be streamed live in ASEAN as far as we can tell.

The selection process is simple and clean. All new cars launched in Malaysia within 13 months of our cut-off date are eligible for entry. We contact all car brands officially operating in Malaysia and ask them for test cars for each of our judges to take for a test drive and run through a standard evaluation process.
There is no participation fee, no package deals and no hidden costs……nothing like the rest.
Any judge who drives an eligible car gets to vote for it. A simple majority is all it takes for a vehicle to win in a given category.
The categories are kept as consistent as possible from year-to-year with some modifications when a certain category is not adequately represented or is over-represented in that particular year.

Our title sponsor Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad recognises the integrity of our team of judges and all players involved in deciding on the end winners and leaves all decisions to the www.dsf.my and www.gohedgostan.com judges regarding the winners.

Please note that new vehicles launched from March to June 2020 are not involved in the judging and will only by involved in next years judging which is VOTY 2021.
