Ducati Streetfighter V4, Scrambler 1100 Pro Now in Malaysia

Next Bike Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Ducati motorcycles in Malaysia has launched the new Streetfighter V4 and Scrambler 1100 Pro. Both models are now available for viewing and orders at authorised Ducati dealerships.

Streetfighter V4 (RM115,900) & V4 S (RM145,900)

Essentially a Panigale V4 without its fairing, the Streetfighter V4 has a beating heart in the form of a 1,100 cc Desmosedici Stradale four-cylinder engine that churns out 208 hp and 123 Nm of torque.

Styling-wise, the Streetfighter V4 features a minimalist full-LED headlight with the trademark V-shaped daytime running lights, and biplane wings developed by Ducati Corse. It also gets a tall, wide handlebar and a moderated footpeg position which result in a sportier riding position.

Keeping the performance under control is a full suite of electronics which is based on a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) that instantly detects the bike’s roll, yaw and pitch angles.

Those who seek higher levels of performance can opt for the Streetfighter V4 S which adds several mouth-watering items such as Marchesini forged wheels, Öhlins electrically controlled suspension comprising 43 mm NIX30 forks and TTX36 monoshock, and steering damper.

Scrambler 1100 Pro (RM75,900) and Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro (RM80,900)

Drawing on the base Scrambler 1100 that was launched here two years ago, the Pro version promises even more fun and excitement especially in the city. Making it possible is a 1,079cc L-twin engine with 86 hp and 88 Nm of torque and a capable chassis that combines a steel Trellis frame and an aluminium subframe.

A beefier version called the Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro is also available. On top of the Öhlins suspension and low-slung handlebars, it can be distinguished by its matte black colour scheme, ‘1100’ logo on the side panels and cafe racer rear-view mirrors.

As for electronics, both versions come with Ducati Traction Control (DTC), ABS Cornering and three standard riding modes, namely Active, Journey and City.

PRESS RELEASE

Ducati Streetfighter V4
A Panigale V4 with stripped off fairings, a high and wide handlebar, 178 kg (dry weight) on the scale, powered by the 1100 cc Desmosedici Stradale delivering 208 hp, aerodynamically enhanced with biplane wings, and finished off with a complete electronics package. This is the “Fight Formula” that gives life to the Streetfighter V4. The result is a modern and technologically advanced naked bike with an aggressive and emotional design, which doesn’t hide its thrilling levels of performance.

The Streetfighter V4 expresses its intentions perfectly with its minimalist full-LED headlights, recalling the front of the Panigale V4 while evoking the grin of the Joker (the comic strip character from which the designer of the new naked drew inspiration). Another clear Ducati hallmark is the V-shaped DRL already featured on the Panigale V4.

Its compact headlights are embedded in a meticulously designed dual-layer fairing that incorporates the air-box and LED cooling intakes, while a rear deflector diverts airflow from impacting the tank directly. The bike’s elegant yet aggressive design is complete with a front cover that hides the fixings and wirings of the TFT display.

The Streetfighter V4’s fast, agile mixed-road performance demands maximum stability at high speed and when braking, reduced wheel-up during acceleration and minimized electronic control of the suspension set-up. Thus, Ducati Corse specialists together with the Ducati Style Centre have developed aerodynamic biplane wings for the bike for optimum stability without compromising its performance.

The latest-generation electronics package on the Streetfighter V4 is based on a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) which instantly detects the bikes’ roll, yaw and pitch angles. The electronics oversee every part of the ride; some controls manage start, acceleration and braking, others handle traction, while some lend a helping hand in corners and out-of-corner stretches.

Accompanying the Streetfighter V4, the Streetfighter V4 S is also launched and features Marchesini forged wheels and Öhlins electrically controlled suspension (43 mm NIX30 forks and TTX36 monoshock) and steering damper. The latter uses the second-generation Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 system which, in addition to making full use of the IMU 6D, provides a more rider-friendly interface.

Since the arrival of the last Streetfighter variant in 2013, the all-new Streetfighter V4 is ready to rumble as it makes its return with vigor.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 and Streetfighter V4 S products are priced at RM115,900.00 and RM145,900.00 respectively.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO & 1100 Sport PRO
More fun, more performance, more Scrambler. Featuring an original design, the new Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and 1100 Sport PRO models are sculpted for those who want the exhilaration of a 1079 cm³ engine packing generous torque right from the bottom of the rev range, and a 15-litre steel tank that, combined with a plush seat with enhanced coating, ensures that even the longest ride is as comfortable as it is exciting.

The fun is guaranteed on the new Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and Sport PRO, thanks to their iconic styling and sense of freedom, together with high levels of agility and safety. Created for those who love riding within and beyond the city streets, even with a passenger, these new models further evolve the Ducati Scrambler “Land Of Joy” philosophy.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO stands out for its new two-tone “Ocean Drive” colour scheme, combined with a steel Trellis frame and rear aluminium subframe, both finished in black. The aluminium covers are also black. A new right-side dual tailpipe and low-slung plate holder ensure distinctive rear-end styling and, together with the new livery, give the bike a coiled, compact look. Another hallmark is the framed headlight; inspired by the protective adhesive tape used back in the ‘70s, a black metal “X” has been incorporated inside the headlight: a detail that makes the bike instantly identifiable, even with the lights off.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO is the beefiest version in the Scrambler family. It features all the styling details of the PRO, but also a unique equipment set with Öhlins suspension, low-slung handlebars and Café Racer rear-view mirrors. The 1100 Sport PRO also features a Matt Black colour scheme, complemented by side panels sporting a painted 1100 logo.

Both Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO variants are also at the forefront of electronics. They are equipped with Ducati Traction Control (DTC), regulated specifically for these models, and ABS Cornering, which ensure safety on every bend. The three standard Riding Modes (Active, Journey and City) help even less experienced riders to find the right balance in the use of electronic components by choosing their riding style.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO are priced at RM75,900.00 and RM80,900.00 respectively.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 and V4 S, and Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO are now available for viewing and orders at authorised Ducati dealerships.
