Malaysians, Your Custom Car Could be Immortalised by Hot Wheels!
Malaysia has been chosen as the first country in Asia to host the Hot Wheels Legends Tour! This event is being presented by Art of Speed. And yes, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, you can watch the event virtually on Facebook.
More importantly, if you have a customised car sitting in your garage, you could immortalise it in the form of a Hot Wheels die cast! All you have to do is follow the instructions below:
- Shoot two minutes of your car’s exterior in wide angle
- Shoot two minutes of your car’s exterior in close-up
- Make sure the footage is stable and horizontal
- Make sure no music is playing in the background
- Edit the two videos together and upload it on your Youtube channel

Then just wait until 12 November 2020 and the winner will be announced at the 9th Annual Art of Speed Malaysia event in 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Or you could stay at home and watch the announcement live here.

Fans across Malaysia are getting the chance to virtually join the excitement of the 1st Hot Wheels Legends Tour Malaysia presented by Art of Speed. The digital tour will be hosted by Art of Speed Malaysia and the winning Malaysian car will be announced live on November 12th at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama, which will also be streamed on the Hot Wheels Facebook livestream (www.facebook.com/HotWheels). Malaysia is the 1st host in Asia to be selected as host.
Hot Wheels Legends Tour 2019 was an epic tour, which saw more than 110,000+ participants, more than 5,000 entries, 18 finalists and 1 extraordinary winner! This year, the tour has gone virtual and one of the new stops will be in Malaysia in search of a winner for the Hot Wheels
Legends Tour, where one lucky custom build will be immortalized as a diecast car and shared with fans across the globe.
Fans, families and car enthusiasts can participate in the Hot Wheels Legends Tour Malaysia by submitting their builds at https://artofspeedmy.com/hot-wheels-legends-tour/ and by tuning into the
live virtual stop where the top Malaysia’s entries will be shortlisted and interested participants can view LIVE stream at Hot Wheels Facebook slated on the 12th of November 2020.
The finalist from the Hot Wheels Legends Tour Malaysia’s virtual stop will join all other Legends Tour finalists at the Virtual Global Finale in Los Angeles in November for a chance to have their car immortalized as an iconic Hot Wheels die-cast vehicle.
The Hot Wheels Legends Tour, now in its third year, is a global search for the next fan-made custom car to be made into a Hot Wheels die-cast toy. The Hot Wheels Legends Tour Malaysia is made possible in partnership with Art of Speed Malaysia (presenter) and Toys “R” Us Malaysia
(retailer).
HOW:
From today till 15 October 2020, fans can submit photos and videos of their custom builds at https://artofspeedmy.com/hot-wheels-legends-tour/ for the chance to have their design included in the Legends Tour/Date virtual stop and live stream. After the submission window closes, the Legends Tour judges will select the top vehicles to be featured during the 9th Annual Art of Speed Malaysia 2020 on-ground event on November 12th at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama and will be judged LIVE. Similar to all Legends Tour stops, the judges will consider creativity, authenticity and garage spirit when selecting finalists and winners. A variety of vehicles, representing the breadth of the Hot Wheels in all aspects of car culture, will be included.
