Perodua Ativa GearUp Spyshots Leaked
The Perodua D55L (or ‘Ativa’ as it’s rumoured to be called) will probably get these GearUp accessories as options.
Perodua are ‘gearing up’ to launch their crossover, the D55L. As with all of Perodua’s other models (Axia, Bezza, Myvi, Alza, Aruz), the company will most likely come up with a set of GearUp accessories for the D55L SUV. This substantiates these photographs we’ve been sent, which show a ‘Pearl Delima Red’ (unconfirmed colour name) Perodua Ativa (unconfirmed car name) with an additional bodykit.
The first photograph shows the D55L with an added lower bumper element. This is the first time we’re seeing this Perodua front end, so we can’t confirm how much has been changed with the Gearup pack. Based on a smart guess, it’s probably just the lower bumper elements that are different.
The garnish from the front fog lamp is extended down into a sort of ‘C’ shape that ends with what looks like an additional daytime running light. Between the two body coloured segments is a grey accent with a very unconventional design. The shape can best be described as three ‘V’s.
It doesn’t appear to have the same mirror-finish chrome as the garnish on the front grille and is probably a satin or matt finished bit. Just above it, the black plastic elements appear to sport ‘GearUp’ branding.
The second photograph shows a similar situation going on at the rear with a lower bumper element added to the D55L. It mirrors the design theme of extending the black fog lamp garnish down. Again, the body coloured elements flank a rather unconventionally designed centre portion. Here we find the registration plate holder with “GearUp” logo and on either side, a trapezoidal exhaust tips with slats above them.
We also see a few plastic-wrapped accessories in the boot. Presumably, this include boot organisers, sun shades, and more. GearUp accessories sometimes include leather seat covers, steering wheel covers, sun visors for the windows, and noise insulating material. Those could possibly be part of the complete set.
Again, none of this is confirmed, but the fact that they bear GearUp logos might indicate that this is real. The launch is said to be next week, which won’t give Perodua enough time to take in feedback for designs.
