Honda Malaysia Recalls 77,708 Cars Over Faulty Fuel Pump

This is a follow-up to the initial recall made in June 2020

Honda Malaysia has issued another fuel pump recall, this time involving 77,708 units of various models manufactured between 2018 and 2020.

Models affected by this latest round of recall are the Accord, BR-V, City, City (HEV), Civic, CR-V, HR-V, HR-V (HEV) Jazz and Jazz (HEV).

The company says that the recall is preventive in nature as faulty fuel pumps could lead to problems such as difficulty in starting the engine, loss of engine power or vehicle stalling.

As before, the replacement is free of charge. Affected customers will be notified via letters but owners may also check for their vehicle status through the HondaTouch app or on the company’s website.
