Yes, if you are not a big watch enthusiast, then you might be a little confused with this new limited edition Bell & Ross as your first impression of this premium French watch brand is all things aeronautical. Flight watches and not marine time keeping instruments. Well, Bell & Ross is not new to marine and diving watches as the did show us the BR 03-92 Diver Blue Bronze just 9 months ago in July 2020 and then earlier there was the BR 03-92 DIVER in April 2017. But their first foray into the diving time piece segment was in 1997 when Bell & Ross showcased their HYDROMAX® model.
Bell & Ross has built a strong history in underwater exploration and now extends its Diver collection with a new model that reflects its core DNA and reaffirms the brand’s functional approach. With its olive drab tone, the 2021 model BR 03-92 Diver Military will appeal to many men and also women who lead a very active lifestyle.
Military watches always come with the combination of high readability and functionality and with this BR 03-92 thanks to a photoluminescent coating that allows immediate reading of the time. The sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant and the unassuming design is equipped with a 42 mm black matte ceramic case.
This Bell & Ross BR03-92 Diver Military is sold in a water-resistant Pelican box, and with two additional straps. The first strap is made from woven black rubber with a PVD coated stainless steel pin buckle and the second one is using an ultra-resilient olive drab synthetic fabric, allowing the watch to be quickly and ergonomically adjusted over the suit thanks to a Velcro closure system. The watch is available in a limited edition of 999 pieces.
This BR 03-92 Diver Military is lightweight, high-performant and virtually, un-scratchable. This is reminiscent of the anti-reflective finish used on aircraft instrument panels, this new model is perfectly in tune with the aeronautical codes so crucial to the Bell & Ross philosophy.
The technical and functional features of this diving watch echo a set of military specifications. Standard NIHS 92611 / ISO 6425 Diver watches specify that diving watches should be water-resistant to 300 meters, legible in the dark at a minimum of 25 centimeters, and reliable by being anti-magnetic and shock-resistant.
The BR 03-92 Diver Military uses a Swiss automatic mechanical movement with proven robustness and accuracy.
Invisible from the outside, yet crucial for its reliability, the case of the BR 03-92 Diver Military is also equipped with a soft-iron cage to increase its resistance to magnetic fields.
