Suzuki Jimny Officially In Malaysia For RM168,900 From Naza Eastern Motors
Naza Eastern Motors launched the 4th generation Suzuki Jimny.
The Suzuki Jimny, one of the most anticipated SUVs in recent memory, has finally arrived in Malaysia through its official distributor Naza Eastern Motors. The 4th generation Suzuki Jimny will be available in Malaysia fully-imported from Japan with 50% SST discount for the rest of 2021.
Only one specification will be sold for now at RM168,900 on-the-road without insurance.
The sole Suzuki Jimny variant for Malaysia
Naza Eastern Motors has decided to sell the Suzuki Jimny with a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre VVT petrol engine, a 4-speed conventional automatic gearbox, part-time 4-wheel-drive (branded ALLGRIP PRO), with a low-range transfer case. This configuration has 100 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. With a weight of just 1095kg, this little off-roader should have enough pep to move itself and four adults along quite economically.
The ladder frame chassis features 3-link rigid axle suspension with coil springs. It has 210mm of ground clearance with short overhangs for great clearance. The Suzuki Jimny will also feature hill-descent and hill-hold functionality to complement its off-road hardware.
Inside, the 3-door Jimny features seating for 4 adults, with wider front seats and good ergonomics. Rear passenger seats are designed for versatility and can be folded down to make 830-litres of storage room.
Though it’s an aesthetically clean and simple vehicle, the 4th generation Suzuki Jimny has been equipped with modern touches.
You’ll find a digital air-conditioner control panel, a leather-wrapped steering with multi-function buttons, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth support.
In terms of safety features, the Jimny has the expected Electronic Stability Program, ISOFIX car seat mounts and braking aids. However, it only gets 2 airbags. Suzuki’s chassis team has also designed the Jimny with Toytal Effective Control Technology, which absorbs and disperses impact in a collision to reduce pedestrian injuries.
Colour choices include Kinetic Yellow & Bluish Black Pearl, Jungle Green, Medium Grey and Bluish Black Pearl.
