2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Shown
The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America is for the USA only.
In an effort to please customers in the USA, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur is producing a very limited series of Type-992 Porsche 911 models. These are the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet ‘America’.
These are built on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet with twin turbo 3.0L boxer 6 and a 7-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels only. Output is 473hp and 571Nm of torque. It gets Porsche Active Suspension Management Sport as standard. This means lower springs by 10mm and helper springs at the rear. Sport Exhaust and Sport Chrono Packages are also standard. Rear axle steering and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes can be added on, otherwise they’ll come fitted with cast iron brake rotors with aluminium fixed callipers.
The thing to note is what Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has done to make this vehicle so special.
They’ve taken inspiration from the 1953 Porsche 356 America Roadster and used Azure Blue 356 as a basis of the blue here. The windshield frame is finished in Satin Black. RS Spyder Design Wheels are used with a dual finish of white and silver with Guards Red along the edge of the rim. The decals on the body are in white with Guards Red accents spelling “AMERICA” while the rear features the 911 Carrera badging in white with “GTS” in Guards Red. This truly is a red-white-and-blue vehicle.
Inside, Guards Red and Pebble Grey contrast each other on the upper dashboard, door panels, centre console armrest and more. Unique illuminated door sill plates commemorate the 70th anniversary of the 356 America Roadster. The seat belts are finished in Guards Red while the tacho and instrument cluster are in white. A heated GT Sport steering wheel is standard. This wheel can be optionally marked at 12 o-clock in Guards Red with cross stitching along the inside of the wheel as well. Other Guards Red and Pebble grey interior appointments can be optioned in.
Don’t get too excited about this ultra-rare edition of the 992 as it is only bound for the US market, where it will be sold at an MSRP of US$184,920 and US$192,430 for the extended interior package.
