2022 Tesla Roadster To Start From USD200,000

There should be a limited edition Tesla Roadster too

The car you see in thee picture is the all new 2022 Tesla Roadster in British racing dark green. Tesla claims that this car will be sold for USD200,000 and that there will also be a limited edition model called the Founders Series which will cost an additional USD50,000 but when will this car be released?

So before we get into that, let’s first take a trip back in time. The original Tesla Roadster was launched in 2008 and it was honestly the car that really showed the world the potential of the Tesla brand. It was fast and while subjectively it may not have looked the best, it was still a handsome car nonetheless.

Fast forward to today and fans of the Tesla Roadster are still scratching their heads wondering where the new Roadster is. This is because the Roadster was slated to return in 2021 as a second generation car but we are still yet to receive it. We can also infer that the new Roadster will be much more appealing than the outgoing model.

From the looks of the car, we can assume that Tesla will be adding two rear seats to the new 2022 Tesla Roadster as opposed to the original Roadster only having two seats. What’s more, the design has gotten much better and the sleek and sharp headlights and overall shape are a huge improvement over the previous model.

Moreover, we assume that there will definitely be a few more optional add-ons such as different wheels, a carbon-fiber interior trim or even an aero body kit but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves here. After all, we don’t even know if we will see this car before the end of the year.

While it was true that we should have gotten the Tesla Roadster in 2022, manufacturing for the car had run into some complications due to supply chain shortage issues. That is unfortunate as it means that the release of this much anticipated electric vehicle (EV) will be delayed once again.

This means that, more likely than not, we may only end up seeing the all new Tesla Roadster in 2023, ideally we would want to see it early in the year, but I wouldn’t bet on that. Instead I assume it would be closer to the middle of the year but perhaps I could be wrong and we may even only see it later into the year.

With Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, bragging about the crazy performance and major upgrades in the car, the company is under immense pressure to deliver, the supply chain issues will only have made it worse so I am hoping Tesla delivers on their promise and the car really does blow everyone’s mind when it finally does release.
