Casio G-Shock And Preduce Collaborate On A New Thai Themed Watch
The Casio G-Shock Preduce DW-5600PRE22 brings Thai skateboard culture to the wrist.
Casio has teamed up with Thai skateboard brand, Preduce Skateboards to create a special G-SHOCK watch in honor of Preduce’s 20th anniversary in 2022. This watch is called the Casio G-SHOCK Preduce DW-5600PRE22.
The DW-5600 base model was redesigned by Preduce’s art director Thun “TRK” Puchpen, featuring the face of the Thai Guardian Giant, a figure from Thai mythology believed to protect against bad spirits.
The watch also incorporates colors and patterns found in traditional Thai paintings, paying homage to Thailand’s culture and heritage. Ancient Thai characters are often depicted wearing animal furs and this same animal print is translated onto the packaging of the watch in organic lines of green and black. Green is meant to represent the colour of Bangkok and it features on the official logo of Bangkok City. Black is the colour of the Preduce brand.
The DW-5600PRE22 comes with G-SHOCK’s signature shock resistance, 200m water resistance, hourly time signals, and countdown timer features. The band is made of a resin material while the surface is made of mineral glass. It is priced at RM 615 and can be purchased on https://www.casio.com/my/.
