Chery OMODA 5 And Tiggo PRO 8 Ready For Delivery
Production of the two new Chery SUV’s, the OMODA 5 and Tiggo PRO 8 started months ago and now they on the way to brand new Chery showrooms nationwide
The first batch of Chery customers who have been waiting to drive their OMODA 5 and the larger Tiggo PRO 8 sport utility vehicles will be happy to know that their vehicles are on the way to the many showrooms around the country.
Meanwhile, in case you missed our earlier reports on Chery Cars, on February 8 last year, the first OMODA 5 unit rolled off the assembly line at Chery’s manufacturing headquarters in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China.
The OMODA 5is Chery’s new global product series, representing the company’s in-depth insight and thinking on rejuvenation and globalization. OMODA 5 is the first global model under the series and the first product under the Chery 4.0 era.
this much talked about Chery OMODA 5 SUV, was awarded a full five-star safety rating by the stringent European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), scoring highly in the Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users and Safety Assist categories.

Meanwhile, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro comes with an award winning 2.0L turbocharged direct injection engine that carries the name ‘China Heart’ engine.
The Tiggo 8 Pro engine delivers a decent 254PS at 5,500rpm and an impressive 400Nm of torque from 2,000 to 4,400rpm. The China Heart engine works with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox and has a drive mode selector that provides Standard, Eco and Sport driving modes for the driver.
Safety features in the Chery SUV is plentiful and starts with 6-airbags. There is also Traction Control (TCS), Roll Stability Control (RSC), ISOFIX as standard, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Automatic Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSC), Intelligent High-beam Control (IHC), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSD), Front Collision Warning (FCW) and an emergency Brake Override System (BOW).
The main stand-out feature of this Chery SUV is its factory 10-year or 1,000,000 kilometer warranty which was recently revealed when the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro was launched in South Africa. At this time, there is no other auto manufacturer offering such an extensive warranty.
