Mazda CX-3 Updated In Malaysia With 1.5L Plus & 2.0L Plus Models

Bermaz Motor updates the Mazda CX-3 for the Malaysian market.

The smallest crossover in the Mazda line-up has been given an update in Malaysia by Bermaz Motor. Effective immediately, the Mazda CX-3 will be available in three enhanced variants – 1.5L Plus and 2.0L Plus with the existing 2.0L High getting a minor spec change too.

The Mazda CX-3 continues to be fully-imported from Thailand with a 5-year/100,000km Manufacturer Warranty and 5-year/100,000km Free Maintenance package inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants.

In Peninsular Malaysia, the On The Road Price without Insurance is as follows:

Mazda CX-3 1.5L Plus – RM115,720

Mazda CX-3 2.0L Plus – RM126,159

Mazda CX-3 2.0L High – RM139,159 (RM2,000 for sunroof option)

Common Upgrades To Both CX-3 Variants

In terms of equipment, the new CX-3 variants come with LED Headlights, LED daytime running lights, auto folding mirrors, and rear parking sensors as standard. Inside, you’ll find both variants have paddle shifters and Wireless Apple CarPlay through the 8″ Mazda Connect Infotainment unit.

Both variants now come with 6 SRS Airbags and a full suite of i-Activsense safety features such as High Beam Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning System and Smart City Brake Support – all previously reserved for the 2.0L High variant launched back in 2022.

Upgrades To The CX-3 2.0L High

For the 2.0L High variant, existing equipment such styling front LED headlamps, rear LED lamps, a Qi Wireless Charger, Wireless Apple CarPlay, a Powered Sunroof, a 360-degree view monitor and i-Activsense ADAS all remain. What’s new is a refreshed set of alloy wheels.

Colour Choices For The Mazda CX-3

The Mazda CX-3 is available in Snowflake White Pearl, Jet Black, Machine Gray, Polymetal Gray, Soul Red Crystal as before. There’s a new colour – Aero Gray as well as a colour option reserved for the 2.0L High variant – Platinum Quartz for a total of 7 colours.

Both engines are paired to a 6-speed SkyActiv Drive automatic transmission. The SkyActiv-G 1.5L DOHC 16-Valve 4 Cylinder with VVT engine puts out 114hp at 6,000rpm and 149Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The SkyActiv-G 2.0L DOHC 16-Valve 4 Cylinder with VVT has an output of 154hp at 6,000rpm and 206Nm of torque at 2,800rpm.
