Toyota Corolla Cross Facelift Revealed In Thailand

The facelifted Toyota Corolla Cross gets revealed in Thailand less than 4 years after the initial launch.

Few cars have been as important to Toyota’s success in the region as the Corolla Cross. This crossover model took a more practical approach than the CH-R and proved to be a popular product in this price-sensitive part of the world ever since its Thai launch in 2020. Now it gets a facelift to keep the design fresh and the equipment levels relevant for the next 3-4 years.

The new Corolla Cross features a “Multi-Dimensional Design” front grille, revised headlights with LED “Crystalized” headlamps and sequential front turn signals. Other items that have been redesigned include the rear lights, front bumper, and alloy wheels.

A panoramic frameless roof with an electric sunshade is available and dual zone automatic climate control has been added.

Besides that Toyota have updated the wireless charger, panoramic view monitor, DVR units, and there’s a new Parking Support Brake system. The cabin lighting has been upgraded and now features LEDs.

The new infotainment system is 10.1-inches across with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus there are now USB Type-C ports.

There are new Front and rear distance warning signals on all models as well. There’s also an Electronic Parking Brake this time around with Auto Brake Hold, solving one of our biggest gripes with the outgoing Corolla Cross – its foot brake. A fully digital instrument cluster also finally arrives, which was offered on the Corolla Altis sedan but absent on the outgoing Cross.

Another change to the Corolla Cross is the new option for two-tone interiors in either black or “dark rose”. Plus there’s a new Cement Gray Metallic exterior colour. It goes on sale today in Thailand with no word on when it will arrive in Malaysia. In Thailand the HEV is available in three trim levels including GR-Sport while the 1.8L petrol model is reserved as the base model.
