No Official selling price yet for the all new Proton X50 but Azura seems to know it.
We just stumbled upon this on social media and if this is true, a RM79,200 starting selling price for the all new Proton X50 will have rivals like the just launched Chery Tiggo Cross from RM88,800 and Perodua Ativa from RM61,500.
The RM88k Tiggo Cross is powered by a 147 PS and 210 Nm four-cylinder turbo engine paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. This setup promises a 0-100 km/h time of 10.3 seconds and fuel economy rated at 6.3L/100km.
The Ativa comes with a turbocharged engine that develops a reasonably healthy 98 hp and 140 Nm of torque. More impressive however is perhaps the fact that, mated to its 7-speed D-CVT transmission, which is incidentally also a first for the Malaysian automaker, the Ativa will manage a rather impressive claimed fuel consumption figure of 18.9 km/l.

Meanwhile, Proton’s best-selling compact SUV gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, replacing the previous three-cylinder setup. This new powerplant produces 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, still paired with the familiar 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
In case you were wondering ….. the latest X50’s cabin has been comprehensively reworked. Dominating the dashboard is a class-leading 14.6-inch floating infotainment screen, which finally supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto right out of the box.
Ahead of the driver sits a new 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, complemented by a frameless rear-view mirror, tinted transparent sun visors, and a new column-mounted gear selector integrated into the right-hand steering stalk.
This updated X50 will be offered in Executive, Premium, and Flagship trims.
Finally, before we forget …….. Proton’s suite of advanced driver assistance systems has also been upgraded, and now comes with rear-side radar sensors for enhanced blind spot and cross traffic alerts. The facelift further debuts a world-first Bahasa Melayu voice recognition system, aimed at making in-car commands more intuitive for local users.
