Partnership between EON and Hyundai Motor to strengthen sales, grow customer trust and accelerate nationwide expansion
Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) and Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON) today signed a Letter of Intent (LOI), marking the beginning of a renewed collaboration aimed at expanding Hyundai’s retail footprint across Malaysia.
The agreement signifies Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to the Malaysian market, reinforcing its long-term commitment not only through presence, but through sustained customer value, service excellence and enhanced accessibility.
Under the LOI, Hyundai and EON will jointly develop two new Hyundai dealerships in high-growth, high-demand regions: Klang Valley and Penang, both slated for opening in the first half of 2026. These locations were identified based on strong market potential, rising customer interest, and increasing hybrid adoption trends, making them priority hubs for Hyundai’s expanding portfolio.
The new outlets will also support Hyundai’s plan to enhance customer trust by bringing sales, service, and aftersales capabilities closer to key population centres. At the same time, the partnership will accelerate Hyundai’s reach into new customer segments, strengthen trust through consistent nationwide touchpoints, and contribute to Malaysia’s evolving shift toward safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility. Over the next several years, Hyundai aims to strengthen its ecosystem through expanded dealership coverage and elevated service standards.
