EON Berhad Celebrates 40th Anniversary With Eon & Sahabat Autofest 2024

Eon Berhad (Eon), a wholly-owned subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Berhad, celebrated its 40th Anniversary with its largest annual event, the EON & Sahabat Autofest 2024. The event was truly a spectacle and with so many cars on display in one place, we had ample opportunity to stop and stare.
Running for three days from today until Sunday, 3 March 2024 between 10am and 6pm at the Eon Headquarters in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, the event brings an amazing multi-brand selection of cars, as well as motorcycles and services to prospective buyers under one roof.
Moreover, in his opening speech, Akkbar said that this year’s event was special as it celebrates Eon’s 40 years of providing mobility solutions to the Malaysian public. Akkbar also highlighted Eon’s focus on digital innovation, with a new end-to-end digital car financing platform being unveiled at the event.
Powered by Eon Capital Sdn. Bhd., the company’s car financing arm, the platform enables almost instant approvals for financing application and fund disbursement through partnerships with banks and other relevant parties. This gives more car owners a chance to get other services done in regards to their vehicles.
Visitors to the Eon & Sahabat Autofest 2024 are treated to a dazzling line-up of car models from popular brands like Proton, Mitsubishi, Audi, Volkswagen and Honda as well as to test-drive and make bookings. Car highlights include the recently launched Proton S70 and smart#1 electric vehicle (EV).
On top of that, customers who place orders and apply for new car financing via Eon’s new digital car financing platform during the three days are in the running to win exciting prizes worth RM100,000 as well as the Grand Prize of a brand-new Proton S70.
Other participating brands such as AVIS car rental, PUSPAKOM, Pos Malaysia, and Petromin Express, a quick-stop car service centre will also be present at the event. In addition to that, DRB-Hicom University of Automotive Malaysia staff are on hand to guide prospective university students interested in pursuing higher education relating to the automotive and other industries.
A Bazaar Raya is also organised as an added attraction at the Eon & Sahabat Autofest 2024 in anticipation of the upcoming month of Ramadhan and Hari Raya celebrations. A variety of vendors with their fashion, décor, food, and other offerings have been lined up together with a host of fun carnival-like activities such as food trucks, celebrity appearances, and a dedicated kids’ zone too.
