MG Motor is starting 2026 with big discounts on selected models.
Building on a transformative 2025, MG Motor Malaysia has entered 2026 with significant momentum fueled by strategic product launches and robust sales growth. The previous year was highlighted by the introduction of the budget-friendly MG S5 EV SUV and the high-performance MG Cyberster EV roadster, which saw remarkable success as Malaysia became the top-selling market for the model in the Asia and Oceania region.
This growth was supported by a rapidly expanding aftersales network, which grew to nineteen authorized service centers across the country by the end of December. Emory Qi, Managing Director of SAIC Motor Malaysia, noted that 2025 was a defining year for the brand and reaffirmed MG’s commitment to delivering accessible British innovation and a worry-free ownership journey for Malaysian drivers.
To celebrate the new year, MG is rolling out several attractive promotions centered around the Chinese New Year period. Customers can benefit from substantial savings, including rebates of up to RM42,000 on the MG HS, RM28,000 on the MG S5 EV and MG4 EV, and RM11,000 on the MG5.
Furthermore, a nationwide showroom activation titled “Drive British Dynamics This CNY” will take place from January 23 to January 31, 2026, offering test-drive participants the opportunity to win Touch ’n Go credits. For existing owners, a dedicated aftersales promotion running from mid-January to mid-February provides complimentary vehicle inspections, discounts on maintenance parts and labor, and festive mystery gifts.
Looking ahead, MG Motor Malaysia is poised for further expansion throughout 2026 with plans to open additional outlets in locations such as Jalan Ipoh, Kuching, Penang, Tebrau, and Bandar Tun Razak. The brand’s focus remains on merging its iconic heritage with modern electric mobility, ensuring that its diverse lineup of electric and internal combustion engine vehicles remains accessible to a wide range of Malaysian motorists.
