Executive Coaching, Consultancy & Training For The Automotive Industry

Lumina 3 Sixty is a new consultancy. It was launched to support automotive industry growth.

Three industry veterans have come together to form Lumina 3 Sixty, a consultancy specialising in Executive Coaching, Consultancy & Training for the automotive industry. Led by Thirumurugan Shanmugam (Thiruh Shan) formerly COO of EON, Jack Zaal (Multi Brand) and Hal Serudin (Rolls-Royce Motor Cars) will provide some 100 years of combined experience in retail, operations, marketing communications and branding in the Automotive Industry, Lumina 3 Sixty’s aim is to support companies in the automotive industry who are increasingly under pressure with the influx of new brands, products and price war.

The Consultancy is a first for several reasons, offering:

  • Executive Coaching for Automotive Senior Management and Business Owners, covering areas such as Business Planning, Profit and Loss management, Operational Design, Integrated Communications and Marketing
  • Premium training content through the franchising of programmes from Top  Trainers
  • Access to 15 senior trainers (and growing) through a wide spectrum of HRDC (Human Resource Development Corporation) claimable programs
  • Improved work flow and productivity through the application of generative AI and proven Kaizen (continuous improvement) techniques
  • In the near future, a Diploma in Automotive Management program in collaboration with a local University

“Although the Malaysian TIV (Total Industry Volume) has crossed a record 800,000 units for the past two years, making Malaysia the largest by retail volume in ASEAN, car dealers are facing tremendous strain in retaining margins and achieving volume simultaneously. Escalating costs and competition mean it’s now the survival of the fittest,” commented Jack.

“We are undergoing one of the largest transitions in the industry since the birth of the motorcar. The movement to EVs, changing customer demographics and attitudes to car ownership mean that integrated communications are also evolving. Where communications before might have been only to drive awareness, it’s now increasingly leveraged to create a competitive advantage,” said Hal.

“The Malaysian automotive industry has grown substantially over the last few years, thanks to the strength of the economy, government incentives, and brands offering a diverse choice of cars. Having been in the automotive industry for over 30 years, I stay close to many of the automotive retailers, many of whom are experiencing deep pressures. This is where Lumina 3 Sixty can help. We identify performance gaps to achieve profitability; assess client needs, formulate action plans and provide coaching for teams to implement improvements, while using real time data to track progress. Whether the firm is big or small, Dealer or National Sales Company (NSC), Lumina 3 Sixty will customise solutions for clients. We hope to create better, sustainable outcomes for the Malaysian car industry and its customers,” added Thiruh.
