Who Will Revive Rolls Royce In Malaysia Since Quills Retirement

There are rumblings in the Malaysian automotive industry on the return of Rolls Royce very soon

It seems there are 3 parties looking at restarting the Rolls Royce business In Malaysia.

In case you didn’t know this, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Malaysia is currently navigating a transitional phase, with significant developments in both its retail dealership and after-sales support, according to late 2025 media reports.

So who are the players in this high end automotive segment?

First we have a public listed company with interest in the luxury automotive segment looking at taking on the Rolls Royce distributorship. This is still not confirmed as there are operational questions to be looked at. Financially, this ‘party’ has no problem in giving the Rolls Royce brand a KL City Centre prestigious showroom which is what Rolls Royce headquarters have been requesting for some time.

Next we have a large automotive group that has been approached to take on the distributorship. However we ‘hear’ that they are still looking into the business model.

Finally, the third contender. A brand new player in the Malaysian automotive market and with enough financial muscle to take on the brand and give it the necessary prestigious exposure its parent wants. However, being a new ‘player’ there is still a lot to be debated by Rolls Royce headquarters as they do not want another ‘failure’ in their pocket.

Here are the key details regarding the status of Rolls-Royce in Malaysia:

Distributor Change (Late 2025): Quill Motorcars Sdn Bhd, which had been the distributor for Rolls-Royce in Malaysia since 2010, was terminated as the distributor for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in October 2025.

Temporary Aftersales Service: Following the termination, BMW Group Malaysia HQ in Cyberjaya has been servicing Rolls-Royce vehicles on a temporary, “soft” basis while a new brand guardian is being finalized.

As of late 2025, there was no officially appointed, permanent new dealer partner in Kuala Lumpur, with owners advised to contact regional support teams for inquiries.
