The second year of the Allianz Malaysia Motorcycle of The Year Awards (MOTY) was a resounding success. Last year, 2025 was the start of a great biker awards event and it grew even bigger this year.
We started off with 28 entries and this year we got 43. Almost every motorcycle maker supported the event with an entry.
There is no participation fee for this award so it is completely neutral. BikesRepublic.com and its event partner, DSF.my want to ensure a completely honest and respected awards event unlike many other awards event where participants know in advance if they are winning or not, they pay a high price for their dinner and they are charged a fee to use the award logo in their communication material. This MOTY is completely FREE as it is completely sponsored by Allianz Malaysia Berhad.
The judges, Jehan Miskin and Kev Le had all the say whether a bike is deserving or not.
And this year, we also had the support of Castrol Malaysia who sponsored the platform for people to cast their vote for their favourite motorcycle. We had about 3,000 votes in just 30 days with minimal marketing. Next year, the target is to get more than 300,000 votes.
To everyone who involved and supported the event with your entries and attendance, a mega thank you from the bottom of my heart. This will not be possible without you.
I am already working on next year’s chapter, and it will be bigger, better.
