GWM at KLIMS 2026 featured previews of two key models – the Ora 05 HEV and Haval H7 Hi4.
GWM Malaysia today officially unveiled the next evolutionary chapter of its electrified portfolio at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026). Presented under the strategic showcase theme, “For Every User, For Every Journey,” the company hosted the exclusive Malaysian previews of two major incoming models: the design-forward ORA 5 HEV compact crossover and the rugged HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV urban off-road SUV.

The dual-model rollout highlights a more intentional, structural approach to positioning each distinct brand within Great Wall Motor’s wider multi-powertrain ecosystem. According to local leadership, the expansion caters directly to a rapidly diversifying domestic automotive landscape where consumers pick new energy platforms based on strict personal routines and lifestyle priorities.
1. ORA 5 HEV: Award-Winning Intelligent Urban Mobility
Taking center stage for the ORA brand is the ORA 5 HEV, a design-led compact crossover tailored primarily for young professionals, couples, and connected urbanites looking beyond the traditional segment formula.

- Intelligent Hi2 Technology: The crossover premieres GWM’s brand-new intelligent hybrid framework, Hi2 technology. Standing for “Hybrid Intelligent,” the dual-benefit system simultaneously maximizes outstanding fuel economy alongside punchy mechanical response.
- Performance Parameters: The system pumps out a maximum combined output of 223 PS and 476 Nm of torque, accelerating the crossover from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds.
- Efficiency & Full Tank Range: It maintains an exceptional fuel consumption rating of only 4.4L/100 km, enabling a stress-free combined driving range exceeding 1,100 km on a single tank of fuel.
- Global Credentials: Built on a generous 2,720 mm wheelbase within a tight urban footprint, the vehicle carries stellar global recognition. It was crowned the “Design of the Year” winner at the 2025 London Design Awards—becoming the first production vehicle globally to win the title. It also holds a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for hybrid SUV efficiency, achieving a real-world combined consumption of just 3.74L/100 km during a 3,004 km challenge in China.
- Aesthetic Styling: Signature elements include classic waterdrop headlights, hidden structural taillights, and petal-style low-drag wheels that enforce its lifestyle-led identity.
2. HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV: Boxy, Off-Road SUV Versatility
For adventure-oriented families and outdoor enthusiasts requiring heavy hybrid capability without zero-emissions compromises, GWM presented the HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV.

- Advanced Hi4 Plug-In Architecture: Driven by GWM’s premium Hi4 plug-in hybrid architecture, it delivers a massive combined output of 370 PS and 750 Nm of torque, achieving a sports-car-rivaling 0–100 km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds.
- EV and Combined Range: It provides up to 150 km of pure electric driving range (CLTC-rated) for daily city commuting, supplemented by a total combined touring range of over 1,000 km.
- Commanding Stance & Visual Design: Measuring 4,800 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, and 1,843 mm tall, the H7 utilizes a bold, boxy design language. Rugged styling traits are anchored by a fortress-inspired square front grille, unique mortise-and-tenon square headlights, and crystal facet rear taillights.
- Genuine Off-Road Mechanical Capability: Engineered to confidently clear demanding weekend environments, the heavy-duty SUV features a 25-degree approach angle, a 32-degree departure angle, a 20.1-degree breakover angle, a robust 580 mm maximum wading depth, and an electronically controlled rear differential lock.
