Ferrari has officially expanded its front-engined V12 portfolio with the introduction of the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale. This special series model is limited strictly to a production run of 1,499 units globally and is offered exclusively as a coupé configuration. The variant marks the return of a three-pedal, gated manual driving experience to Maranello’s production line for the first time in nearly 15 years, following the retirement of the Ferrari 599 GTB.

The Malaysian Market: Why Langkawi Tax Policies Will Limit Local Success
While the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale stands out as a highly desirable target for global supercar collectors, changes to the regulatory and tax framework in Malaysia will impact its commercial success in the local market.
Historically, ultra-high-net-worth individuals in Malaysia utilized the duty-free status of islands like Langkawi and Labuan to register exotic vehicles. This loophole allowed owners to avoid paying heavy national import duties, excise taxes (60% to 105%), and sales taxes (10%). Owners could legally store the vehicle on the island, transport it to Peninsular Malaysia for up to 90 days per year under a temporary customs bank guarantee, or leave it in Langkawi to deprecate over several years to significantly lower the permanent mainland tax assessment.
However, under Malaysia’s Budget 2026, the government officially restructured the duty-free vehicle framework. Effective 1 January 2026, tax exemptions on vehicles imported into Langkawi and Labuan are strictly capped at a pre-tax value threshold of RM300,000 or below.
Because the pre-tax, landed cost of a limited-run V12 Ferrari vastly exceeds this new RM300,000 ceiling, the 12Cilindri Manuale is completely excluded from any tax-free incentives.
