Peugeot Plans To Launch 7 New Models In Europe By 2030

Why Is Peugeot not looking at Asia Pacific markets anymore?

Peugeot plans to launch seven all-new models in the European market by 2030 as part of its FaSTLAne strategy. These new vehicles will be the first to feature key technologies from Stellantis, including the STLA One platform and the “STLA Brain” electrical architecture.

The model lineup renewal will begin with the 208 and 2008, followed by Peugeot’s compact segment encompassing the 308, 308 SW, and 408.

The all-electric version of the new 208 will debut next year on the STLA One platform, with the new 2008 expected to follow a year later. Both models will support steer-by-wire technology and deliver enhanced efficiency, safety, and in-cabin experience.

Current internal combustion engine and hybrid variants will also receive concurrent updates.

Additionally, Peugeot has completely re-engineered its 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, completing approximately 2.99 million kilometers of testing, with the goal of addressing warranty issues seen in the previous generation.

Stellantis has previously committed to its Opel/Vauxhall brands being exclusively electric in Europe by 2028, and now Peugeot will join them two years after.

Having already offered electrification of some description (hybrid, plug-in hybrid or full battery electric) in 70 percent of its current line-up, Peugeot is well on its way to reaching its goal by 2030.
