The Lamborghini Revuelto SV brings back the legendary Super Veloce moniker, but you’ll have to wait a while to get one.
In August, Automobili Lamborghini pulled the wraps off the Revuelto SV (Super Veloce), introducing a track-focused evolution of its flagship V12 High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). Capped at a limited run of 1,963 units globally in tribute to the year the company was founded in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the Revuelto SV takes the platform’s electrified architecture to unprecedented dynamic heights. However, we’re about halfway through September and deliveries of the car are still some time out.

The Lamborghini Revuelto SV combines motorsport-derived chassis engineering, an 80% surge in downforce, and an upgraded hybrid powertrain delivering 1,065 PS (783 kW) and 1,425 Nm of total system torque. This makes the Revuelto SV the most powerful and fastest road-legal supercar ever built by the Raging Bull.

Extreme Powertrain Upgrades and Pilota Track Mode
While the mid-mounted 6.5-litre naturally aspirated L545 V12 continues to rev to an ear-splitting 9,250 rpm while generating 825 PS on its own, the SV’s additional performance is unlocked through an overhauled electrical drive system:
- Enlarged Battery Pack: Battery capacity swells to 7.3 kWh (up from 3.8 kWh on the standard coupe), channeling significantly higher continuous discharge current to the trio of axial-flux electric motors.
- Blistering Performance: Sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and crosses 200 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 345 km/h. It has already established a production-car lap record of 1:41.6 around the Hockenheimring.
- New Pilota Mode: In addition to Strada, Sport, and Corsa, the steering wheel features a dedicated rotary dial for the new Pilota mode, unlocking a five-stage motorsport traction control calibrated to adapt to varying tire degradation and tarmac friction levels.

Chassis Dynamics: Intelligent Torque Vectoring and GT3 Hardware
Engineered to adapt instantly to volatile track conditions, the Revuelto SV pairs mechanical motorsport components with high-speed digital vehicle dynamics controllers.

The Revuelto SV is engineered to adapt, with intelligent torque distribution, racing-derived suspension, and advanced stability control working together to keep the car composed when conditions become unpredictable.
- Racing-Derived Dampers: Replaces adaptive electronic suspension with manually adjustable passive dampers inspired directly by Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse GT3 racing machines, enabling drivers to mechanically dial in rebound and compression for bumpy, flat, or wet circuits.
- 6D Sensor & Integrated Braking Control: An advanced six-dimensional inertial measurement unit feeds longitudinal, lateral, and vertical acceleration alongside yaw, pitch, and roll into an Integrated Vehicle Estimator. The system controls wheel slip under braking to trim stopping distances by up to 10%.
- Brembo CCM-R Plus Carbon Ceramics: Massive 420 mm front and 410 mm rear carbon-ceramic discs feature racing-style vented bells, improving heat dissipation by 23% and delivering immediate bite without requiring warm-up laps.
- Motorsport Rubber: Rides on lightweight staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear centerlock alloy wheels wrapped in bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race R semi-slick rubber.
Motorsport Aerodynamics: 80% More Downforce
The Revuelto SV’s aggressive visual carbon fiber bodywork serves a functional aerodynamic purpose:
- Fixed Rear Wing: A dual-plane outer wing profile combined with a center Gurney flap increases downforce while directing cooling air into the V12 radiator deck.
- Aero Efficiency: Generates 80% more downforce and achieves a 60% improvement in downforce-to-drag efficiency compared to the standard Revuelto, generating 10% more total downforce than the Aventador SVJ.
- Front Splitter & Aero Fins: Redesigned front bumper dive planes seal the front wheel wells and channel cooling air to the front calipers, boosting brake cooling by 12%.

Homologation Status and Production Timeline
Despite its global unveiling, the Revuelto SV is not yet offered for sale and is therefore not subject to Directive 1999/94/EC. Official fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, and safety compliance testing remain in the formal type approval and homologation stage, meaning the vehicle cannot legally be offered for commercial sale or delivered to customer garages until governing regulatory bodies finalize these ratings.

Furthermore, commercial availability is dictated by key model lifecycle factors:
- Standard Revuelto Order Backlog: Sant’Agata Bolognese’s production capacity remains committed to clearing extensive customer order books for the standard Revuelto coupe, which are heavily backordered well into late 2026.
- Exclusive Allocation Process: In line with brand tradition for Super Veloce releases, allocations are prioritized for brand collectors, long-standing VIP clients, and inner-circle patrons before order books open to the broader sports car market.
- Phased Lifecycle Rollout: Lamborghini follows a staged product lifecycle for flagship V12 lineages. Establishing the base coupe’s market footprint first preserves long-term model exclusivity before limited-run track specials enter the assembly line.
Customer deliveries for the 1,963 allocated units are scheduled to commence in early 2027 following the completion of international type approvals.
