Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially launched the all-new Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology, an electrified evolution of the legendary G-Class. With prices starting from RM958,888 (and RM998,888 for the exclusive EDITION ONE), this next-generation off-roader blends unmistakable design heritage with groundbreaking electric performance.
Unveiled at Raintree Plaza, The Exchange TRX, the G 580 promises uncompromised off-road capability powered by a cutting-edge electric drivetrain. With four individually controlled electric motors delivering 432 kW (587 hp) and a massive 1,164 Nm of torque, the G 580 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
A 116 kWh lithium-ion battery supports a WLTP range of up to 473 km, with DC fast charging from 10–80% achievable in just 32 minutes.

True to its legacy, the electric G-Class retains its boxy silhouette, round headlights, and rugged capabilities—now enhanced by features such as G-TURN (rotate on the spot), G-STEERING (tighter turning), and an intelligent off-road crawl function for extreme terrains. The vehicle also debuts virtual differential locks via torque vectoring, delivering unrivalled control and traction without traditional hardware.
The G 580 features multiple driving modes via ELECTRIC DYNAMIC SELECT, and its switchable LOW RANGE gear reduction ensures optimal torque for the roughest terrain. Meanwhile, high-end safety and infotainment tech—including MBUX with Augmented Reality Navigation and a suite of driver assistance features—ensure luxury and security on every journey.
The EDITION ONE stands out with unique MANUFAKTUR styling, blue carbon-fibre accents, silver pearl/black nappa leather, and a bespoke G-ROAR sound profile inspired by the classic V8. Standard across both variants are 20-inch AMG wheels, adaptive MULTIBEAM LED headlights, ambient lighting, and the Burmester® 3D surround sound system.
