Kia Malaysia Starts 2026 With Lower Prices, New Reasons To Buy Kia

Kia Malaysia starts 2026 with a new product and sales strategy.

Late last year, Kia re-established itself with a new standalone National Sales Company under direct leadership from the principal. Now that we’re in 2026, Kia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KSM) officially begins business here with a comprehensive new strategy designed to rebuild trust and deliver unbeatable value to Malaysian car buyers.

Effective January 1, 2026, this new chapter for Kia brings major price revisions, cheaper maintenance costs, and a suite of owner benefits that aim to reshape the ownership experience.

New Pricing Strategy: Sportage Now Starts from RM128,800

In a move to make its lineup more competitive against Japanese and Chinese rivals, KSM has revised the pricing structure for its core models.

  • Kia Sportage: The popular SUV now starts at a highly attractive RM128,800.
    • 2.0G 2WD – RM128,800
    • 2.0G 2WD HI – RM138,800
    • 1.6T 2WD HI – RM158,800
    • 1.6T 4WD HI – RM178,800
  • Kia Carnival: Pricing for the premium MPV has also been “right-priced” to offer better value in the segment.
    • 2.2D 7-seater – RM218,000
    • 2.2D 8-seater – RM193,000
  • Kia EV9
    • GT-Line AWD 7-seater – RM368,888
    • GT-Line AWD 6-seater – RM373,888

These adjustments are part of KSM’s commitment to offering the right products at the right price, ensuring Malaysians get premium specifications without the premium markup.

Cheaper Maintenance and Better Warranty

Addressing long-standing concerns about upkeep, Kia has announced a significant reduction in maintenance costs.

  • Spare Parts Price Drop: Prices for Kia genuine spare parts have been slashed by an average of 15%, directly lowering the long-term cost of ownership.
  • New Parts Warehouse: To solve parts availability issues, a dedicated new warehouse has been established in Shah Alam. This facility ensures faster, more reliable supply chains for service centres nationwide.
  • 5-Year Warranty: All newly purchased vehicles now come with a standard warranty coverage of 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first, providing peace of mind for half a decade.

Rewarding Loyalty: Up to RM6,000 Cash Rebates

Current Kia owners are being rewarded for their support through the newly launched Kia Circle Loyalty Programme.

  • Upgrade Rebates: Existing owners who trade up or purchase a new Kia are eligible for cash rebates of up to RM6,000.
  • Family Benefits: Crucially, this benefit extends to immediate family members—parents, spouses, and children can also enjoy these rebates when buying a new Kia.

Corporate and Insurance Benefits

For professionals and fleet buyers, KSM has introduced targeted incentives to make switching to Kia easier.

  • Kia Professional Programme: Members of professional bodies and employees of major corporations can receive exclusive discounts of up to 3% on individual vehicle purchases.
  • Kia Cares Insurance: A dedicated insurance programme—underwritten by top insurers like Berjaya Sompo, Zurich, and Zurich Takaful—offers class-leading protection. Highlights include Agreed Value for up to 15 years, Waiver of Betterment for up to 10 years, and unlimited towing services.

With these aggressive changes, Kia Sales Malaysia is sending a clear message: they are here to stay, and they are serious about winning back Malaysian hearts.
