Sports car manufacturer Porsche AG has announced the sale of its management and IT consultancy subsidiary, MHP.
Porsche AG is not in a good place financially, so they’re finding ways to make their business leaner. Their latest move was to sell off their management and IT consultancy MHP to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The transaction marks a decisive step in Porsche’s broader strategy to sharpen its focus on core automotive engineering and manufacturing operations. Simultaneously, Porsche, TCS, and MHP are establishing a strategic digital partnership to accelerate the development, scaling, and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across key business areas and vehicle software development.

The acquisition remains subject to customary regulatory and antitrust clearances and is expected to be finalized in the coming months.
Strategic AI Alliance and Long-Term Synergies
Through this collaboration, Porsche gains a powerful global technology ally in TCS while preserving its critical digital relationship with MHP.
The three-way alliance will combine Porsche’s high-performance automotive domain knowledge with TCS’s global digital delivery network and AI capabilities. By embedding advanced AI across supply chains, factory operations, software ecosystems, and customer-facing platforms, Porsche aims to streamline production efficiencies and accelerate its transition into an agile, data-driven mobility provider.
Following the acquisition, MHP will maintain its independent brand identity and continue operating under its established name as a distinct entity within the Tata Group.
