Will there be a Malaysian launch for this Mazda CX-6e since there is a right hand drive version ready
Mazda CX-6e is a new, fully electric mid-size SUV (based on the Changan/Deepal S07) featuring a 78-kWh LFP battery, providing an estimated 484 km WLTP range.
This Mazda features a rear-mounted motor with 258 PS (190 kW), 195 kW DC fast charging, and a 26-inch infotainment screen, aimed at competitors like the Tesla Model Y which has just been launched for RM260,000.

It has a rear-wheel drive (RWD) electric motor that provides 258 PS (190 kW) and 290 Nm of torque.
And the battery that powered this vehicle is a 78-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering up to 484 km (WLTP) of driving range.
This Mazda battery charging system supports 195 kW DC fast charging (10-80% in 24 min) and 11 kW AC charging.
This then delivers driving performance of 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 185km/h.
Step inside this electric Mazda and it features “Electrified Kodo Design,” illuminated front “wings,” and a 26-inch passenger-side screen.
Safety features are high with 9 airbags, ADAS (Smart Brake Support, Lane Keeping), and entreatment comes from a 23-speaker sound system with headrest speakers.
The CX-6e is positioned for global markets, with confirmation for right-hand drive models and a potential debut in Australia very soon. Which might have Bermaz looking at a Malaysian launch soon after ….. or not ……. all depends on the MITI ‘U’ turn happening or not.
