The Xpeng GX is a flagship EV that looks poised to take on the luxury EV SUV market here.
XPeng Malaysia has confirmed the AI-driven GX flagship SUV for a mid-2026 arrival. As premium Chinese EV manufacturers race to establish dominance in Malaysia’s luxury segment, we’re curious to see if Xpeng’s GX will arrive here under Bermaz or through their own network.

Unveiled officially on April 15, the XPeng GX is positioned as the brand’s flagship full-size SUV, making a definitive statement in space, luxury, and technology. Measuring 5,265 mm in length with a 3,115 mm wheelbase, the GX is a formidable vehicle focused on chauffeured comfort.

First-Class Cabin
The interior features a 2+2+2 independent six-seat layout. The second row offers zero-gravity seats with electric leg rests and extra-long sliding rails, complementing the independent headrests and flat-folding capability of the third row.

Cutting-Edge Tech
The cabin experience is anchored by an ultra-narrow bezel central screen, an instrument cluster, and AR-HUD functionality. It features the world’s first AI-dimming privacy glass, capable of switching the rear window tint for the second and third rows in just 0.16 seconds.

Performance
The pure electric GX adopts an 800V platform with a 5C supercharging battery, allowing it to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in the 4-second range and offering a maximum range of 750 km. It also features steer-by-wire technology and support for rear-wheel steering.

It will be exciting to see if the Xpeng GX will be brought into Malaysia given the premium segment in our country has seen a massive paradigm shift in recent years.

The GX is pretty unique in that it features Zero Gravity seats that were co-developed iwth Nissan. It uses dual-chamber air suspension and rear wheel steering with a steer-by-wire system. We can expect this to be the most expensive Xpeng model thus far if it arrives in Malaysia at all.
