BMW Group Malaysia Expands SAV Lineup with New BMW X3 and All-Electric iX1 Variants

BMW Group Malaysia brings a new X3 variant and has pricing confirmation for the iX1L.

BMW Group Malaysia has introduced the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport and the official pricing announcement for the All-New BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport. These additions reflect the brand’s “Power of Choice” philosophy, offering customers high-performance options across both petrol and fully electric Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs).

The New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport: Potent Performance and Sophistication

Arriving as a higher-specification variant of the fourth-generation BMW X3, the 30 xDrive M Sport is engineered for those seeking heightened performance alongside refined long-distance comfort. The X3 20 sDrive continues to be offered but this new variant addresses many of the weaknesses we addressed in our review.

• Responsive Powertrain: Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid technology, it delivers 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

• Dynamic Capability: It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds with a top speed of 240 km/h, supported by the intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

• Exterior Highlights: The SAV features the large Pearl Chrome BMW kidney grille with BMW Iconic Glow Lighting and new Adaptive LED headlights. It rides on variant-exclusive 20-inch M light alloy wheels with dark blue metallic M Sport brakes.

• Premium Interior: The cabin is anchored by the frameless BMW Curved Display and features exclusive Magnolia fine-wood trim and a 15-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system.

The All-New BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport: Electric Versatility

The iX1 eDrive20L M Sport introduces a more spacious interpretation of premium electric mobility to the Malaysian market.

• Extended Comfort: This variant features a 110 mm extended wheelbase, providing an additional 81 mm of legroom and 107 mm of kneeroom for enhanced rear-seat comfort.

• Electric Performance: It offers an electric range of up to 433 km (WLTP) while maintaining hallmark BMW driving dynamics.

Both new models come with BMW Group Malaysia’s premium ownership experience. This includes BMW Proactive Care, which uses real-time sensor data to identify potential maintenance needs before they become serious issues.

The BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) programme provides a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and 5 years/100,000 km of service coverage. For the electric iX1, service coverage extends to 6 years with an 8-year high-voltage battery warranty.
