Footage of Gorgeous Mercedes-AMG GT3 Released

The official YouTube channel of Mercedes-Benz has just released a ‘trailer’ of their motorsport division’s flagship, the Mercedes-AMG GT3. The car was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show and replaces the outgoing SLS AMG GT3.

The engine carries over from the last model, but with some revisions. The 6.3l naturally-aspirated V8 is still an absolute beast, but AMG likes to think its strongest points are its reliability and low operating costs.

Every effort has been made to cut down on weight, with the chassis cast from aluminium and many of the body panels and components being constructed out of carbon-fibre.

One of the car’s most distinguishing design features is the “Panamericana” radiator grille. Its vertical chrome struts are reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL which won the 1952 Carrera Panamericana endurance race. The full video can be found by clicking here or hitting play below.
