Continental Commercial Vehicle Tires For Better Mileage
In line with the global initiative from Continental AG in introducing the Continental Truck Tire New Technology, Continental Sime Tyre PJ Sdn. Bhd. is organising this event with the aim to introduce the new products that Continental has to offer to our existing and potential customers as well as introducing a new concept for fleet customers to achieve the lowest overall driving cost. The world of experience for the new generation of HD Hybrid tire and the demonstration of e-Tools will form the centre point this roadshow. To cater to the specific needs of the local market, the show truck has been modified to reflect Asian requirements.
The press launch was officiated by the Director-General of Road Safety Department, Datuk Suret Singh alongside Mr. Benoit Henry, Executive Vice President of Business Unit Asia Pacific Truck Tires and also Chief Executive Officer of Continental Sime Tyre PJ Sdn. Bhd.
The roadshow will kick off in Petaling Jaya on 16th April and will be making stops at 9 locations across the Peninsular Malaysia. It will stop in locations including Ipoh, Kuantan and Malacca amongst others before ending in Klang at the beginning of July.
The highlights of the innovative mobile information centre include testimonials from satisfied customers, touch screen demonstration of the e-Tools, namely the ContiTireFinder, the ContiTireTerminal and the ContiCostCalculator™ and
the display of truck tires. The ContiCostCalculator™ is there to provide information on the total tire cost, including base price, estimated lifetime mileage and tire casing value. Visitors can move through the exhibition interactively thanks to an innovative concept and also see the new tires at first hand.
In line with the promise of achieving the lowest overall driving cost, Continental also launches the newly developed HD Hybrid with this roadshow. The properties of the HD Hybrid should convince many bus companies because the broad range of applications does not demand any compromises: Continental is promising even higher mileages. It means fewer downtimes to replace tires, resulting in improved utilisation and profitability.
For the first time, the show truck from Continental’s Truck Tire division is setting out on its journey across Malaysia. “Our ultimate goal is to help our customers to achieve the lowest overall driving cost. Hence the objective for the event – Your Way To Lowest Overall Driving Cost,” says Benoit Henry.
