Red Bull Racing at Sepang KL
It is clear that Red Bull racing is looking at a repeat performance this Sunday at Sepang. The pressure to win again is obviously there but the team spirit is high and confidence level is at an all time high. We met with Christian Horner, Team Manager who was very candid and jovial with us at the interview. The inclusion of Infiniti as a major sponsor was not a financial one but more for technical expertise.
There was already 50million EURO in sponsorship and so there was little need to go out and chase for sponsorship money, even more so when the team has a high podium win possibility.
Last year was much more predictable but with the new tire partner, Pirelli, the team just like all the other teams are still in a learning curve and with Pirelli under pressure to ensure more pit stops we are in for a 3 to 4 pit stop strategy this Sunday. In the team tent was Andrian Newey, David Coultard and of course, the darling of the Red Bull Racing Team and the current world champion….having his breakfast.
