0Molly Taylor to contest IRC Scottish Rally
Following her fifth placing in the WRC Academy component of last weekend’s Rallye de France, young Australian star Molly Taylor will be back in action this weekend at Intercontinental Rally Challenge in Scotland. Taylor and British co-driver Seb Marshall will the three-day gravel contest in what will be the penultimate round of the highly contested 11-event IRC series. WRC Academy rivals Craig Breen and Alastair Fisher are also on the entry list, although they will be driving all-wheel-drive Ford Fiesta S2000 models. Taylor will steer her own R2 front-wheel-drive version of the Fiesta, which is the same type of vehicle used in the WRC Academy.
The Scottish round boasts some of the fastest and most spectacular roads on the IRC calendar, winding their way through the picturesque Perthshire and Stirlingshire countryside in the centre of Scotland. The event gets underway with two short stages on Friday night (October 7) after a ceremonial start at Stirling Castle. It finishes on Sunday at Scone Palace, on the outskirts of Perth, where the kings of Scotland were crowned in centuries past.
