Ford EcoSport Breaks Cover
This is the Ford EcoSport. It comes with an all new design philosophy seen earlier on the next generation Ford Escape and this means that we can see a larger lower grille as well as a rounded ‘nose’. If the previous EcoSport model was sold only in South and Central American markets this is about to change as the new EcoSport will be sold in select markets in Asia, including both India, Thailand and possibly Malaysia. Still, the new Ford EcoSport could also be sold in select European markets.
“This is a significant milestone for our global product development process,” said Derrick Kuzak, Ford’s group vice president for global product development. “It proves that great small-car models for growth markets can be created in growth markets, using One Ford to leverage our global design and engineering expertise.” Production of the new Ford EcoSport is expected to begin by the end of 2012.
