Aston Martin officially opened yesterday its first full franchise showroom, sales and service in Malaysia in partnership with Jelita Seleksi. The new showroom is located on Jalan 219 along the super busy federal highway in Petaling Jaya where most car brands are located. New customers will be able to discover V8 Vantage Coupe and V12 Vantage Roadster, DB9 Coupe and Volante, DBS Coupe and Volante and Aston Martin Rapide. Malaysia represents a new opportunity for us in our program for growth, said, Aston Martin UK Global Sales Director, Andy Gawthorpe, who was also present at the launch. He added that Malaysia represents one of the company’s most significant opportunities in Asia with its rapidly growing economy. Aston Martin now has 140 dealerships across 43 countries worldwide. Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur was built at a cost of over RM8 million and covers 480 sq metre of space. It incorporates all the aspects of the marque’s luxury retail environment with full service capability and will house its growing sports car line-up. Jelita Seleksi Executive Director Nazrul Mohtar said: “We are very excited to be launching the Aston Martin showroom in Kuala Lumpur and are confident of its success in the growing high luxury sportscar segment in Malaysia. “With the opening of this showroom, Aston Martin owners can now purchase and service their cars right here in Malaysia,” Nazrul told reporters after the launch of the new showroom. He added that there are currently over 100 owners of Aston Martin cars in Malaysia and Aston Martin UK only produces only 4,000 exclusive luxury sports cars a year.
