Great Wall’s Haval H5 Launched In Sabah

Great Wall Motors (GWM) has introduced its Haval H5 SUV in Sabah recently. According to Datuk Christinus Chiu, Executive Chairman of Fook Loi Corporation (Sabah) Sdn Bhd the exclusive Great Wall dealer in Sabah, there were at least 1000 plus crowd that showed up for the launch. The Haval H5 is a five-seater mid-sized SUV. With a length of 4,649 mm and wheelbase of 2,700 mm, the Haval is 84 mm longer than a Suzuki Vitara and at 1,735 mm, the Haval also stands taller than the current crop of SUVs on offer.
The Haval H5 2.0 (AT) VGT is powered by a frugal diesel engine. GWM is confident that the newly-launched SUV will attract a lot of attention from Sabahan buyers and also buyers from all over Malaysia in the future as it is fully assembled at GWM main plant in Gurun, Kedah which shortens the delivery time to Sabah.

The plant can produce up to 6,000 units a year and until today, over 600 units of the Wingle 5 pick-ups have been sold throughout Malaysia.

The Haval H5 is priced at RM123,988 and those interested are invited to the showroom at Sedco Industrial Estate, Kolombong (opposite Borneo Sport Arena) or call 088-433 812/016-832 6830.
Mr Mohd Azli Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin of GWM in his opening speech mentioned, GWM will return to Sabah with a light model vehicle, the Haval M4 1.3L Energy Efficiency Vehicle or (EEV), which is environmentally-friendly equipped with low emission and low fuel consumption as compared to other vehicles on the road today. The Haval M4 will be in Malaysian market by the 2nd quarter of 2013.
