BMW presents the All New BMW HP4 Motorcycle

This is the 2013 version of the BMW S1000 RR, the BMW HP4. This bike marks a continuation of the BMW Motorrad High Performance model series founded in 2005. After the boxer engine models of the HP2 Enduro, HP2 Megamoto and HP2 Sport, the HP4 is the first four-cylinder powered motorcycle in the High Performance family which is built using high-quality materials and state-of-the-art technologies and features that are carefully conceived down to the last detail, illustrating BMW’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of customers.
This new motorcycle has all it needs to compete with success against the best models in its segment and thanks to its new upgrades it continues to stay on top of the pack when it comes to performance and safety. Among the most interesting features offered by the new generation S1000RR you’ll find an aluminum bridge-type frame, radial brakes, a super sporty tail-up nose-down design, hot colors and electronic rider assistance.
To enhance riding performance even more the motorcycle is offered with four riding modes that help you adjust power delivery, throttle response, Race ABS action and even the Dynamic Traction Control.
The motorcycle sports a 999cc, Water/oil-cooled 4-cylinder 4-stroke in-line engine which cranks out a massive 83 lb.ft of torque at 9750 rpm and 193 hp at 13.000 rpm. These impressive figures of the HP4 translates to a 0-100km/h sprint of just 2.9 seconds.

Never before has it been so easy to keep so much power under control. This is as true on public roads as it is on the racetrack. The RR is a full-blooded racing bike, even though it can be ridden with a number plate attached. A race proven sport bike for the road.
The gratifying thrill of squeezing every ounce of performance from your machine is a big part of the thrill of owning an S 1000 RR. And it’s the only reason for our line of High Performance parts. Most are competition only, some are street legal, but all are crafted with absolute precision by professionals, for professionals.

When light weight, massive power and razor-sharp handling are combined, the result is known as HP – High Performance. The new HP4 is BMW Motorrad’s first 4-cylinder model to wear the HP badge. Based on the S 1000 RR, a purebred factory motorcycle has been developed – made from the very best materials and molded into unparalleled design.
The lightest 4-cylinder engine in the segment provides uncompromising power with an output of 193 bhp and a maximum torque of 83 lb/ft. The new exhaust silencer provides a higher level of torque in the mid-range, so there is power available where it’s needed most to deliver stunning lap times.
With the world’s first ever dynamic suspension system DDC (Dynamic Damping Control), the HP4 is the most advanced production sporting motorcycle ever built. DDC automatically adapts the suspension damping to the situation at hand. Various modes are available to choose from: Rain and Sport for public roads, Race and Slick for the race track. The further enhanced Dynamic Traction Control on the HP4 supplements this perfectly. It can be finely adjusted in Slick mode to dial in the perfect balance between system support and rider control. The result is transparent feedback, maximum traction and optimum acceleration.

For even more sophistication and a sportier expression, the All New BMW HP4 with the race Competition Package is also available as an option. The package offers refined HP carbon parts such as the engine spoiler, rider footrest system, folding brake and clutch levers and wheels finished in Racing Blue Metallic with a special sponsor sticker kit that enhances the exclusive flair of the supersports motorcycle.
