Spyker B6 Venator Concept First Picture

This is the new Spyker B6 Venator Concept. It is a mid-engined sports car powered by a V6 engine delivering 375 hp and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The concept car has an aluminum chassis and a carbon-fiber body, which translates into a total weight of under 3,080 pounds. The weight-to-power ration is 8.21 pounds per hp, a little better than the latest Porsche 911 Carrera.
This Spyker bears a striking resemblance, in profile and in specification, to the Lotus Evora S. Still, Muller declined to say who is the powertrain supplier. Moreover, Muller played the role of the designer for the B6 Venator Concept and many of the details seen on older models will be seen on the new car, such as the aluminum dash, exposed gearshift mechanism and the quilted leather.
Furthermore, the Spyker B6 Venator Concept has an italicized script logo on the front grille, which is in fact a reproduction of the company’s 1903 logo. The new Spyker B6 Venator will be priced between €125,000 and €150,000 and Muller anticipates production numbers “in the hundreds.” Explaining the name of the new concept, Muller said that the Venator is Latin for hunter. According to the Spyker CEO, in the World War I, the fighter planes were name hunters. For those who don’t know, Spyker used to built strut-and-canvas warplanes and grand touring cars.
