Audi Dominates the 2013 FIA GT Series@Nogaro
Audi won the round 1 of the FIA GT series by sweeping the top 2 positions and taking four of the top seven spots. The first car to cross the line was Rene Rast and Nikolaus Mayr-Melnhof; however, they received 30s penalty for not turning off the engine during pit stop. That gave the win to the second Audi of Stippler and Sandstrom. The early race leader Sebastian Loeb and Alvaro Parente eventually had to settle for 13th position after serving a drive through penalty and post race 30 second penalty. The overall winning Audi driven by Rene Rast and Mayr-Melnhof were running in the Pro-Am class.
