Toyota Camry Provides Class Best Safety Features

The latest 2013 Toyota Camry retains all the strengths of the model that have made it a popular choice in its class. As with all Toyota products and services, meeting and exceeding customer expectations is the objective and for the latest Camry, feedback from customers was studied extensively to identify customer requirements and areas for improvement.
Toyota never compromise on safety. A rigid body structure, revised front suspension, redesigned rear suspension and aerodynamics all help to imbue the current generation Camry with greater straight-line stability. The body structure is designed to help absorb collision-impact forces and help minimize impact deformation to the passenger cabin. High-strength steel is used for B-pillar and rocker panel reinforcements to help manage overall body deformation in the event of certain side collisions. The seat frames also are designed to help absorb side collision loads. The inner-hood structure and front-edge construction are designed to help reduce pedestrian injuries in a collision.
For this new Camry, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), which includes Traction Control (TRC), is now included in the 2.5V and 2.0G, providing drivers with increased Active Safety. This sophisticated system was developed by Toyota and detects wheelspin during high-speed cornering or cornering on slippery surfaces, a condition which can cause the car to skid out of control and possibly crash. Whenever such a condition (oversteer or understeer) is detected, the system applies the appropriate amount of braking force on certain wheels and also cuts back on engine power to allow stability and grip to be regained.
The new Camry comes with a 36-month/100,000 kms (whichever occurs earlier after first registration) warranty, subject to conditions stated in the Owner’s Handbook. This reflects the confidence that UMW Toyota Motor has in the superior build quality of its vehicles, a hallmark of Toyota products. The new Camry 2.5V will be available at the same price as the previous model, while the new Camry 2.0G will be priced at only RM1000.00 more than before. Camry 2.5V – RM180,917.10  Camry 2.0G – RM158,915.30  Camry 2.0E – RM149,915.30 (Prices shown are with insurance for Peninsular Malaysia, Private Individual, Metallic Colour).
