Ford’s “Join the All-New Fiesta Movement” Winners at the LINKIN PARK Malaysia Tour

The winners of Ford’s “Join the All-New Fiesta Movement” campaign got a taste of the rock-star lifestyle as they kicked off their path to stardom with meet-and-greet passes and VIP tickets to the recent LINKIN PARK ‘Living Things’ World Tour Live in Malaysia 2013 concert. Ford co-sponsored the LINKIN PARK Malaysia Tour in conjunction with the “Join the All-New Fiesta Movement” – a social media campaign organised in the lead-up to the launch of the new Fiesta later this year. The campaign winners, who are called the new Fiesta ‘agents-in-training’, were selected from four “Join the All-New Fiesta Movement” categories. They are: Adora Chloe George for the ‘Car Freak’ category; Jaszy Ng for ‘Fashionista’; Kevin Chai and Jacob Hii for ‘Action Addict’; and Mohd Afiq Ashraf for the ‘Tech Geek’ category.

These frontrunners beat out numerous other participants to impress the judges with their outstanding submissions. The judging panel included pre-selected Fiesta Agents who were featured in each category of the campaign. The Agents are well-known Malaysian online personalities: Chukei Baby Jane as the ‘Fashionista’, Jason Goh of smashpOp as the ‘Tech Geek’, Harvinder (Harvee) Singh as the ‘Car Freak’, and Fay Hokulani as the ‘Action Addict’.

During the LINKIN PARK Malaysia Tour, the new Fiesta ‘agents-in-training’ began their red carpet evening at the exclusive Ford Fiesta VIP Lounge just outside the concert venue at Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil. They got to experience life in the limelight, meeting and giving interviews to members of the media while receiving priority access into the stadium’s VIP zone. They were also escorted backstage pre-concert to meet the members of the band, a truly unforgettable experience for any fan.

LINKIN PARK put on an incredible, high energy show to round out their ‘Living Things’ World tour, filled with a mix of old fan favourites as well as fresh songs from their new album, Living Things.  Though Monday’s performance was the band’s first show in Malaysia since 2003, the number of fans screaming and singing along with vocals Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda provides ample evidence that LINKIN PARK was clearly worth the decade of anticipation.

“Our ‘Join the All-New Fiesta Movement’ has been the perfect way for Ford to convey the fun, trendy personality and sociable characteristic of the new Fiesta to the Malaysian community,” said David Westerman, regional manager, Asia Pacific, Ford Export & Growth Operations. “It is a great opportunity for Ford to connect with the growing Fiesta community who are generally tech-savvy which is why this campaign was a great fit. It’s clear that the appeal of our brand is expanding to a whole new generation of Ford customers keen on getting the most out of life.”
