0Kawasaki ZX-10R Gets Öhlins Upgrade
Owners of 2013 and 2014 Kawasaki ZX-10R machinery can rejoice as Öhlins shows the latest addition to the racing-grade upgrades: the dedicated SCU for the mechatronic, electronically-controlled steering damper installed on these bikes.
While the OEM Öhlins steering damper installed by Kawasaki is tuned to deliver excellent results anywhere between parking lot speeds and legal ones, upgrading the system with the Öhlins Race SCU takes things to the next level: race track performance.
This means that the steering damper will now react better and more precise to high-speed riding and to the extreme demands of the rider under such conditions. The semi-active dynamic range of higher damping values will allow the rider to squeeze more performance out of the bike, while adding an enhanced feeling of being in control.
The OEM-installed steering damper is already fitted with all the internals to comply with the demands of race track usage, and all it needs is the electronics to make them work, with no further tuning or installing other parts needed. Ask your nearest Öhlins dealer about the Race SCU.
