After half a day of exciting challenges and games, the first bumper draw of the “100 Million BonusLink Points To Be Won” contest ended recently at Berjaya Times Square with Saravanan Muniandy from Cheras crowned a BonusLink Millionaire.

The bumper draw saw 18 contestants battling it out in a series of fun yet challenging games in their effort to become the next BonusLink Millionaire. In the first round, contestants were asked to “Spot d’ Difference” and identify as many differences in two side-by-side photos. This was followed by “Toss d’ Bonus Mania” – a life-sized ring toss – where smart planning was crucial for contestants to win, as it required them to strategize their game plan before tossing rings to earn the most points.

The final round saw three contestants with the highest scores compete in “Beat d’ Buzzer Jeopardy” where their knowledge of Shell and BonusLink was put to the test. With every correct question answered, contestants were given a chance to make a smart choice, as they entered a special jeopardy round that could double their winnings.

Being the first “100 Million BonusLink Points To Be Won” contest bumper draw winner, Saravanan, 27, was no doubt ecstatic with his win.

“I am incredibly thrilled to have won 1 Million BonusLink Points; there’s so much I can do with the Points that I hardly know where to begin,” he enthused. “I’ve always fuelled up with Shell and I can’t believe that I’m now being rewarded by my favourite loyalty Card, BonusLink! The holidays will be extra joyous for my family and I this year and we only have Shell and BonusLink to thank for this.”

Tuan Haji Azman Ismail, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. and Shell Timur Sdn. Bhd. said, “At Shell, we have a proud heritage of providing only the best quality fuels to our customers, which is why we want to reward them for making the smart choice with Shell. The “100 Million BonusLink Points To Be Won” contest allows us to do just that. We would like to congratulate Saravanan on his victory today and thank all our customers for the years of support.”

It is our way of saying `Thank you’ for your business. It is a way of saying that we could not have come this far without your support”, said Mr. Victor Goon, General Manager of BonusKad Loyalty Sdn. Bhd.

First runner up, Noor Fazha Noor Fammey, 27, from Port Klang and 2nd runner up, Jeffri Dollah, 34, from Ampang, walked away with 210,000 and 40,000 BonusLink Points respectively.
