Here is a Ford Focus with a V8 engine under the hood to take race in the coming Global touring car race series. The Global Touring Car Series is a newly established racing series opened to mid-size sedans powered by V8 engines, will commence this year in South Africa.

The rules say that all cars are required to use the same space frame chassis, V8 engines with with outputs around 500 horsepower, sequential-shift gearboxes and rear-wheel drive. Bodies, on the other hand, can be borrowed from most sedan or hatchback-sized vehicle as the chassis has been designed to accept Original Equipment body panels.

The Focus sedan that has been fitted with a widebody kit, race-spec bumpers and side skirts, a massive rear wing, a side exhaust and a full roll cage.
