The urban SUV offers a high driving position with high ground clearance of 200 millimetres, meaning EcoSport owners won’t have to worry about driving over speed bumps and potholes, often found on city roads.
The all-new Ford EcoSport is fitted with an electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) system, delivering precise steering with a confident feel, and a tight turning radius that makes it easy to negotiate narrow city streets or winding roads. The 10.6-metre turning radius also makes navigating urban traffic easier, especially when making U-turns on streets with cars parked on both sides.
Another ingenious feature is the award-winning Ford SYNC system, which uses voice commands to enable owners to answer phone calls and select music from devices connected via Bluetooth or USB. Ford SYNC helps relieve the stress of city driving and provides drivers with an enjoyable and safe journey.
To make driving even more stress-free, the all-new Ford EcoSport comes with an array of driver-assist systems. Rear parking sensors keep customers from backing into obstacles they cannot see. Hill Launch Assist ensures they can start smoothly on a hill, whether an uphill or downhill slope, by holding the SUV for up to 2.5 seconds while the driver’s foot moves from the brake to the accelerator pedal. This makes the EcoSport ideal when finding parking in crowded department store structures or when traveling to mountainous terrain.
