Design Legend Fisker Remixes The Vanquish

Since completing his last major transformation involving a Ford Mustang and a lot of carbon-fibre, Henrik Fisker has turned his attention back to Aston Martin with his version of the V12 Vanquish, the Thunderbolt. His previous work with the company resulted in the DB9 and V8 Vantage, and his return to the brand is unofficial and extremely limited.

Like the Fisker Mustang, the Thunderbolt is heavy on carbon fibre. All the Aston Martin design cues are still there, but there are subtle changes that really change the cars look. The large front grille is quite a nice addition, as are the thin LED taillights. There’s also a bunch of new crevasses and intakes that give the car’s exterior that distinct look, but it’s really on the inside where things get very interesting.

That combination of leather and carbon fibre found on the Thunderbolt is particularly breath-taking. And mounted top-centre of the dashboard is a gorgeous curved screen from Panasonic that is nearly 12 inches across.

There are limited orders for the car that Galpin Aston Martin are taking, but in all likelihood, they will be devoid of this concaved display unit and tweak some of the externals.
