More Photos of the Qoros 2 Emerge
A few days ago, Qoros, the Chinese-Israeli premium car maker teased images of their 2 SUV. Today, new images have been released, together with reports that confirm the car will be a Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicle, or at least have that as an option. There’s also a 1.8 litre turbocharged petrol engine option in the rumour mill.
From a chassis standpoint, it looks as if Qoros have utilised a small car platform from their sister company Chery and built it up from there to create a small, urban crossover. But unlike a lot of its competition, the Qoros’ B-segment SUV will have all-wheel drive.
So, it’s got a 4 wheel drive system AND a plug-in hybrid powertrain? That sounds like a recipe to give its European and Japanese competitors enough to be worried about. And if that wasn’t enough, it’s got styling from studios in both Munich and Shanghai. From what these new photographs tell, that’s a pretty good combination.
