Enduro event returns with more thrills and spills

Brett Macnamara on his way to clinching the top spots for ED1 and the Veteran class. Two racers from the ED2 class battle it out over the tabletop in this event that was organised by KTM (Motonation Sdn. Bhd.) who is the importer of CBU KTM motorcycles.

Round 1 ED1 Winners

Padang Ibu played host to round 1 of the Orange Days Enduro Challenge 2015 and it was as exhilarating an experience as always. It was mostly overcast with light rain fall in the afternoon. But that did little to dampen the spirits of the fans that came to cheer on their favourite racers.

KTM continued to dominate with local expat hero Brett Macnamara (in the 109 bike) taking the top spot for EDI with a time of 01’0 55 garnering 25 points in the process. He was also overall champion in the ED5 veteran category with a time of 00’ 51’ 58.

ED2 overall champion was Kok Chee Hong on a Kawasaki, with the ED3 title going to Mohamad Azzie Adindzzuan on a Kawasaki while ED4 champion for the Cubcross category was Muhamad Zulhairi b. Mohd on his Honda.

Quite a few Husqvarna motorcycles were seen at this years event. Husqvarna is already earning a reputation as an endure premium ride with more racers coming over to the brand since the brand’s entrance into the Malaysian motorcycle scene in 2014.

KTM Malaysia CEO Mr Kenny Lee was on hand to hand out the prizes to all the racers.
